DAVID DEFOE
David Imamu Defoe is a husband and proud father of a beautiful little girl. He lives in Laurel, Maryland with his family and enjoys reading, writing, playing golf and watching sports. David was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts and is an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, and New England Patriots.
For over 12 years David has led non-profit organizations, and provided consultations with various business entities to increase viability and marketability.  He has degrees in English, Theology and Counseling Psychology, and is currently a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the State of Maryland, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). He holds memberships in a variety of professional organizations and utilizes his eclectic skills and abilities to make a difference in people’s lives.
David is an ideator, and creative mastermind who has the ability to problem solve, as well as discover new and exciting ways to engage with the changing world. Â He is the founder and owner of Imara Counseling Services, and the Founder and CEO of Defoe Innovations LLC a creative consulting company. Â Currently he is developing two additional non-profit entities, the Healthy Male Project and the Imara Foundation.
